SeaWorld's Spooktacular

Now, let's talk about the family-friendly, Spooktacular (September 28th - October 28th)! This activity includes treat or treating for the children, Halloween themed activities (including special shows), and special dining options! For this event, the park is sponsoring TWO Spooktacular shows, TWO exclusive dining experiences during Spooktacular, THREE photo opportunities. and a HAY MAZE!

Here's a hint for parents: Make plans to exit the park BEFORE 7pm, that is when the scary stuff begins!

SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration

Now, let's talk about the family-friendly, SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration (November 17th - January 6th)! This activity includes numerous amazing lights, the most AMAZING and LARGEST Christmas light display in Texas, meet and greet opportunities with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and friends. treat or treating for the children, Halloween themed activities (including special shows), and special dining options! For this event, the park is sponsoring Dinner with Santa, Dinner with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and Christmas Shows (ranging from Clyde & Seamore's Countdown to Christmas to Shamu Christmas: Miracles).

Dining at SeaWorld San Antonio While Learning About Sea Animals

Recently, we were invited to SeaWorld San Antonio to discover their new attraction - Dining with Shamu! This was an incredible experience and it is a "must do" attraction for your family when visiting Sea World San Antonio!

The experience is focused on sustainable seafood and learning about sustainability at the same time! It was also a great way to meet other families who love to learn about sea animals as much as we do! As a former science teacher, my husband is always eager to introduce our kindergartener to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and technology).

This event features an all-you-can-eat buffet for your family and it is vegetarian, pescatarian, and vegan friendly!

The Sea Lions and Otters of Pacific Point Preserve at Sea World San Antonio!

When you visit San Antonio, be sure to check out Pacific Point Preserve at Sea World!

Our little one got a quick lesson from one of the animal trainers!

We also fed the sea lions at Pacific Point Preserve!

The sea lions leaped out of the water to catch the food!

The sea otters were also a hit with our daughter!

The Seven Seas Food Festival at Sea World San Antonio is over now, but we enjoyed it so much we decided to write a blog post about the experience! 

This one-of'a kind, food festival is a special treat for any guests who visited the park during that time period. This event featured tastes from the following regions of the world: Mediterranean, North Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean, North Pacific, Pacific Ocean, and the South Atlantic. We made a special trip to San Antonio to visit this Festival, because we saw everyone's social media posts about the event!

We love to introduce our little one to different cultures, experiences, and activities (including music, art, etc.). This was a great way to educate her about different countries without having an actual passport. :)

Last weekend, the Weekends Count Family (yes, with toddler in tow) attended the #AdventureCon event in San Antonio. My family enjoyed the conference and the sessions were super informative.

The aspect of #AdventureCon that we enjoyed the most was the informal networking with the other bloggers. I (Jennifer) will admit that I needed a bit of motivation and idea generation for weekly contributions to the WeekendsCount blog. As a result, our family left the conference motivated to post to our blog on a consistent basis! Yay!
