10 Ways to Clean Your Home and Save for a Family Vacation with Varage Sale

We hope you are having a great week!

This post contains affiliate links to help you build your shopping list and travel list for your family. We are passionate about the product and the experiences listed in this post, but we also wanted to provide easy links you can click to purchase products for your busy lifestyle.

This week, we are focused on VARAGE SALE! We love the company and this spring is all about selling existing baby and household materials for our savings accounts. Therefore, if we want to take an impromptu family trip to Disney World, we can! If we want to save money to make extra payments towards an existing payment, we can!

Here are 10 Ways to Clean Your Home and Save for a Family Vacation with Varage Sale!

1 - Look around your home to discover items you have not used (or seen) in awhile.
*This can include books, clothes, dishes, etc.

2 - Take pictures of these items with a telephone camera or our favorite (a digital SLR).

3 - Write an snazzy description. The description for your item(s) can make (or break) your listing.

4 - Look for similar items on eBay and other websites to help you properly price your item.

5 - Join a local community on VarageSale.
*VarageSale is all about connecting local communities and local goods.

6 - List, List, List

7 - Keep your VarageSale app notifications ON! :) You do not want to miss out on a potential deal!

8 - Make the sale!

9 - Meet the buyer in a safe place. We always meet buyers in grocery store parking lots, but I discovered that many local police stations have exchange zones as well.

10 - Place your money in a savings account.

So, we will utilize Varage Sale as our savings plan for the spring and we will keep all of you updated with the amount we've sold so far (and saved so far).

Here's a video from the Weekends Count Dad focused on his experience reviewing the Varage Sale App.

Have a great week and plan for the weekend!
