Three Outstanding Amazon Prime Movies for Kids - Based on Books!

It is almost the weekend and if your family is like my family, your Roku or Apple TV will take center stage in your weekends (especially for very cold days in Texas). :)

Here's a nice family video playlist focused on published books for your upcoming weekend!

1 - An Amazon Original - The Snowy Day (by Ezra Jack Keats)

We watched this video after Christmas, but this is a great video and book). It features a delightful song by Boyz II Men, which was a great surprise in the middle of the film!

2 - If You Give a Mouse a Cookie (written by Laura Numeroff and illustrated by Felicia Bond)

My little one reads this book at her child development center and we also added it to her 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten list! What a great way to compare the books against the movie!

3 - An American Girl Story - Melody 1963: Love Has to Win

The was the first non-animated film that my preschooler watched from beginning to end. We watched it on a Sunday morning before church and I laughed, I cried, and I thought about the past (as portrayed in the movie). My little one loved it and she wanted to watch it again!

There were some parts of the movie that prompted conversation from my little one, but overall - she loved it. I would recommend this for 7-10 year olds. :) Also, this movie would be GREAT for Martin Luther King day and/or Black History Month!

These are three amazing Amazon videos for the weekend!]
